Sega Corp ha revelado detalles de su plan para entrarle de nuevo al mundo del hardware, que ya había dejado hace 6 años atrás. Sega dice encontrarse en un estado financiero estable, gracias al software de juegos. Esta nueva consola a sido nombrada oficialmente "Catalyst".Simon Jeffery (presidente de Sega América) dice " nosotros nos sentimos realmente emocionados por volver a a entrar en el negocio del hardware, sabemos que nuestros fans han perdido la oportunidad de jugar sus licencias preferidas de Sega, así que es muy emocionante poder traer esa sensación de nuevo a ellos".
Aunque se sabe muy poco de esta nueva consola, según mygen, Sega a dicho que la consola ofrecerá HD-DVD y una unidad de proceso de los gráficos NVIDIA. Pues suena bien pero le llegara a los pesos pesados de la actualidad, recuerden que Sega lleva 6 años de no entrarle a las consolas.
